Emerson Elementary is participating in the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program, which provides our students with a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables. Emerson Elementary wants to introduce fresh fruits and vegetables as healthy snack options. It has been a great experience that could impact children's diets and their present and future health. It's a Great time to be a Wildcat!

Coalgate School Board Member, Chad Lackey, has graciously donated his expertise and time on getting power and lights to our new building. Coalgate Public Schools wants to recognize his dedication to the students of Coalgate Public Schools. Thank you Mr. Lackey!

Good luck to these 4 as they will be competing at the State Powerlifting Meet today at the Choctaw Event Center in Durant. You can follow along as well at OGPCA Powerlifting under 2025 State Results.

Today Coalgate Public School students in grades 7 – 12 participated in the Journey of Hope assembly. Students learned about the Oklahoma City Bombing, the Oklahoma Standard, the aftermath of the bombing. Representative Ryan Eaves led our students in a moment of silence to remember those who lost their lives. Ronnie Fields, the son of a woman who lost her life in the tragedy, spoke to our students about the effect the event had on his life and his journey to forgiveness. Students were challenged to “be the light” in their community, to find ways to bring about change for the better. After the program, a sapling from the Survivor Tree was planted on the school campus with the help of Mark Bays of the US Forestry Department. Coalgate FFA and Student Council members assisted with the program. Thank you to the Oklahoma Legislature and the Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum for creating and offering this program to our students.

Attention Elementary Parents. Next week is Dr. Suess Week.
