Coalgate Public Schools Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time. Coalgate
Public Schools is working diligently to insure that the students, staff, and patrons
are as safe as possible when school resumes in August. We are also working
diligently to provide the students with the best education possible during such an
uncertain time.
With this being said, school is scheduled to begin on August 13 th . Students will
have two options for learning.
 Option #1 will be a traditional face-to-face educational setting. We feel this
is the best option for learning, socializing with peers, and being involved in
extracurricular activities.
 Option #2 will be a virtual on-line format. With this option, students will
receive a rigorous on-line education much different than the distance
learning implemented this past spring. Coalgate Public Schools will provide
students using this option with a device to use; however, students choosing
this option will need access to the internet. More information about
applying for Option #2 will be available in the coming days.
Enrollment for the 2020-2021 school year will begin on Monday, August 3 rd and
continue through Friday, August 7 th from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Enrollment
packets will be available for pick up during this time at each grade level site.
Enrollment forms will also be available for downloading and printing on the
school’s website.
Coalgate Public Schools appreciates everyone’s patience during this time of
uncertainty, and we look forward to seeing all of our students and patrons when
school resumes.

Thank you!
Jack Ward

Parents and Guardians,

Be assured, Coalgate Public Schools has been working diligently on our start up plan. However, we must be proactive and be prepared during these ever-changing times to continue educating our students if and when circumstances change, as predicted, throughout the year related to the health and safety of our students and employees.

In order to try to insure the utmost safety for all of Coalgate Public Schools’ students, staff, and stakeholders during the ever changing Covid-19 situation, we are asking for your help.  It would be an enormous benefit to the schools’ planning for the upcoming school year if you would take the time to answer the school’s survey regarding bus transportation and internet connectivity/availability. Your feedback will help our team as we continue to prepare to launch our school year on August 13. This survey will be available on the school’s website, Facebook page, and a link on the school texting service.  All Coalgate Public School students and families need to complete this form. Please fill out a form for each student enrolled.

As we continue the planning process, we will keep you updated. Thank you for your continued support and positivity as we strive to do what is best for ALL of our students, staff, and stakeholders during these challenging times. Coalgate Public Schools appreciates your help in this matter.

Sincerely,

Jack Ward, Superintendent
