Coalgate Public schools kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week with Sonic donating drinks for our amazing teachers. Also, Coal County General Hospital dropped by with some giant Great American cookies to share!

🚨 Congratulations to Destiny Grant, Davis Grant, and Carson Viss for qualifying for the State Track Meet! They competed at Regionals in Madill this weekend and qualified! Destiny Grant placed 2nd in High Jump with a jump of 4’10”. Davis Grant placed 3rd in Long Jump with a jump of 20’1”. Carson Viss placed 5th in 110 Hurdles with a time of 17.54. They will compete at the State Track Meet May 8th-9th at Western Heights! Always a Great Day to be a Wildcat!

Heartland Music Festival Results- Yesterday and Today has been the absolutely best days! Yesterday we started the day at the science museum, went to the mall, ate dinner at the hotel, and spent quality time together making memories! Today the students had their best performance of the year! Below are the results of the festival: Straight ones on stage! With that we received the sweepstakes award! Individual awards for musicianship are Tuba (Sawyer), Tristan (Bells), Bari Sax (Solomon), Bass Clarinet(Paisly), Euphonium (Wesley), Flute Soli (Marisol and Felicity)! Section Awards- French Horns, All Percussionist, and the trumpet section! We also won the Overall Outstanding Achievement Award from the performance site! I’m so proud of this group! This concludes our contests for the year! It has been a great year! Our final Spring Music Department Concert is Monday May 4th, 2026 at 6pm! You don’t want to miss this concert! We hope to see you there! Last thing- It’s a Great Day to be a Wildcat!

“Each spring, a nationwide high school art competition is sponsored by the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The Congressional Art Competition is an opportunity to recognize and encourage the artistic talent in the nation and our District. The 2026 theme for Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District is: “Celebrating 250 Years of America” The competition winners from each District will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. SENDOFF FOR SAYDE BENEDICT! There will be a send off for Sayde from the HS Gym Sunday May 3rd at 10am. Sayde will be competing at the State Tournament Monday and Tuesday, May 4th and 5th at the Territory Golf and Country Club in Duncan.  Congratulations Sayde and play well!

Come Out next Monday May 4th, 2026 at 6pm for a great evening of music! The concert will feature the Middle School Choir, EES 5th and 6th Grade Band, HS Jazz Band, and The Pride of Coalgate Concert Band! We hope to see you there!

Eufaula Ironhead Concert Fest Results- 5th and 6th grade Band- Superior Rating! HS Jazz Band- Superior Rating! This was the Jazz Band’s first ever contest and made school history with straight superior ratings from all three judges! Proud of all my students! It’s a Great Day to be a Wildcat!

⚾️Baseball Senior Night🏟️ Great win tonight for Senior Night!! 9-1 victory over the Hartshorne Miners. It's a Great time to be a Wildcat!

OSSAA State Solo and Ensemble Contest Results- The Pride of Coalgate had 19 students attend State Solo and Ensemble Contest today! All the students played well today and represented Coalgate with pride! I am very proud of them! With 19 students qualified for state this marks the largest number of students to qualify for state at solo and ensemble contest! This is a huge accomplishment for the program! It’s a Great Day to Be a Wildcat!
