BASKETBALL PLAYOFF GAME Coalgate has a playoff game this Friday, February 16, at Vanoss. Please read the important information below regarding the game. 1) TICKET PRICES (per session) District, Regional and Area i. Cash - $10 ii. GoFan - $7 (plus $1.35 processing fee) 2) SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS SHOULD NOT ALLOW THEIR STUDENT BODIES TO SIT BEHIND THE OPPOSING TEAMS BENCH. FANS MAY OR MAY NOT BE GUARANTEED SEATING BEHIND THEIR TEAMS. 3) THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED THAT MAY BE A DISTRACTION TO THE PARTICIPANTS OR FANS. THESE ITEMS INCLUDE BANDS OF ANY SIZE OR NATURE, NOISE MAKERS, CONFETTI, BANNERS, EMBLEMS, PLACARDS, SIGNS, THUNDERSTICKS, BALLOONS, LASER LIGHTS, FAT HEADS, MEGAPHONES OR ANY OTHER POSSIBLE DISTRACTIONS.

GIRLS' POWER LIFTING MEET The Coalgate girls will have a powerlifting meet Tuesday, February 13, at Hugo. The meet will start at 9:00

CONGRATULATIONS BRYSON STOWE Bryson Stowe finished 2nd in his weight class of 145 pounds. He totaled 875 pounds. Nicely done, Bryson.

AD MAUK: NATIONAL MERIT FINALIST Coalgate High School Senior, AD Mauk, has advanced to Finalist standing in the National Merit Scholarship Program of 2024. We are very proud of AD’s outstanding academic performance and high potential for future academic accomplishment.

CONTRATULATIONS DEIONDRA HOWARDE!! Congratulations to Deiondra Howard, she winning 1st place in her weight class at the Powerlifting Meet in McAlester yesterday! Her 2nd medal in as many Meets! Outstanding job, Deiondra!

SENIOR GEAR UP TRIP ANNOUNCEMEN!! Senior Gear Up Trip to First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City, February 7th. Coalgate Senior students will travel to Oklahoma City on Wednesday, February 7th.  Students will leave the high school at 9:00 a.m. and will return to the school by 5:45 p.m.  All expenses will be paid for students via Gear Up. Seniors who attend morning classes at KTC should stay at the high school (in the library). Angie West, Counselor

ESPORTS Austin Barnett placed 2nd in Brushy Middle School Super Smash Bros. Tournament. This qualifies him to compete at State in April! Congratulations, Austin!!

AMAZING DISCOVERY Ezekiel Dollar and Noah Nickell were on the hunt for igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rocks at recess after learning about them in Mrs. Redden’s science class! Good job, boys!

MRS. REDDEN'S CLASS Mrs. Redden's class took advantage of the nice weather this week to practice writing their names in cursive with sidewalk chalk.

TUESDAY BB GAMES The high school basketball games vs. Davis scheduled for tomorrow, February 2, will played at Coalgate.

BASKETBALL UPDATES On Monday, January 29, the junior high will host Caddo, and the games will begin at 4:00. There will be one boys' game and one girls' game. On February 6th, the junior high will play at Stuart beginning at 4:00. The high school games will follow.

Coalgate Public Schools will be releasing classes at 10:30 am for the remainder of the day and learn virtually. Due to low water pressure our district can not maintain daily operations. Busses will run at 10:30 with walkers and riders being released at this time also. Students will be provided sack lunches. School will resume Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 unless otherwise notified. We apologize for any inconvenience. Career Tech and extra curricular activities will continue as normal.

CHEER CAMP DEADLINE Friday, January 19, is the last day to turn in forms. Please see the attached image for more information.

COALGATE IN SESSION TOMORROW Coalgate Schools will be in session tomorrow. Please dress your children in warm clothing. Each school will have a warm place for students to gather once they arrive at school. Again, dress them warmly.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT The Pride of Coalgate Wildcat Marching Band received an invite and opportunity to perform the National Anthem at a OKC Dodgers Baseball Game on April 20th, 2024! The only thing we have to do for this opportunity is sell 100 tickets to the game! The seats will be right behind the dugout! The tickets are $19 a person! If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the game, you can purchase them at the superintendents office with Jana.
