Hi everyone! I’m Andrea Sieger, and I’m so excited to be the new Special Education Teacher for 4th, 5th, and 6th grades!
Teaching is my passion, and I truly became a teacher because I wanted to make a difference in the world—especially for students who might not always feel connected or understood. My favorite part of teaching? 100% the students! I love building real connections and helping them learn in ways that make sense to them.
A little about me: I have an Associate of Science from Murray State College and a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I’m currently working on my Master’s in Special Education at Northeastern State University.
I hold certifications in Early Childhood Education as well as Special Education for Pre-K through 12th grade. Over the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students ranging from Pre-K all the way through high school sophomores.
My teaching style is all about communication, listening with my whole heart. I believe every child can learn and we have to meet kids where they are.
I’m so excited to start this new chapter at a new school. It feels like a big adventure, and I can’t wait to get to know our students, families, and staff!
Outside of school:
I’m a mom of six wonderful kids.
We have goats and chickens.
I love anything outdoors—camping, bicycling, just love being in nature.
Fun fact: I actually attended Coalgate as a 4th grader myself!
And one of my favorite quotes that guides me every day:
“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” — Martin Luther King Jr.
I can’t wait to meet everyone and start this journey together.
