"A teacher affects eternity; she can never tell, where her influence stops.."--Henry Adams

I grew up in the very small town of Calera, Oklahoma...where I graduated from high school in 1994 (Go Bulldogs!!).  I attended Southeastern Oklahoma State University and graduated with my Bachelors degree in the Fall of 1998.  I got my very first teaching job the following August.  I taught 4th grade at Bailey Inglish Elementary School in Bonham, Texas for four years.  Some of my closest friends and best memories came from my years in Bonham.  I was blessed with my twins, Rowdy and Rylie in September of 2001.  In order to be closer to home, I took a job teaching Special Education in Achille, Ok.  The next year I finally found my home teaching reading at "The Byrd".  I have taught at Wallace Byrd Middle School for the past 15 years and have had the honor of teaching some of the best kids on the planet!  We are a close knit group at the middle school, which makes my job so much more rewarding. I love my students and try everyday to inspire them to always give 110%.  In my spare time you will find me chasing my kiddos around and attending their MANY sporting events, helping them with their show pigs, cheering for the Lady Wildcats and OSU Cowboys (GO POKES!!), watching softball, fishing, or burying my nose in a book.
