"Read to Achieve, Read to Succeed"

Starting date: September 30

Ending date: May 20

 Objective: Each student will read and complete a book overview for an approved book.  Each book overview is worth a maximum of 100 points.  Students will strive to meet a goal of 900 points per nine weeks of school.  Special rewards will be given at 300 pt. intervals.                    
                                                RULES:                                               

*   All books must be approved by Ms. Wood
*  A minimum of four books must be read as a requirement for Reading class; grades will be assigned for completion.
*   Overviews cannot be completed on books you have previously read.

Rewards:

900 pts = Movie/popcorn party
600 pts = Free Spelling/Vocabulary Contract pass for on¢ week
300 pts = Snack day in class

 ^·        Lunch bunch reward for students who have reached the half way mark of 450 pts. by November 5^th.
^·        Movie/popcorn party will be rewarded for the students who have met the  goal of 900 pts on December 20^th.
^·    300 and 600 pts rewards will be given accordingly in Reading class.

***End of year reward:

For those students who have achieved 2700

points for the school year (900 per

nine weeks) there will be a special

reward. The students will be

rewarded with a day of swimming or

a day of bowling and a movie.
