2011 Sweetheart Pageant
General information
Scratchmarks, Coalgate Public Schools Art Club, is sponsoring their 4th annual children’s pageant. The pageant will be held on February 19th, 2011 at 1:00 PM and is open to all children ages eight and younger.
If you refer a contestant you will receive a FREE photogenic category entry. The other contestant must pay for their entry fee before you will be credited your entry fee.
**If they pay after you entered your child you will receive the cash in your contestant package the night of the rehearsal.**
The pageant is strictly a “beauty” pageant. The contestants ages 0 months to 35 months will not be required to answer an onstage question, all other contestants will. No talent is required.
Everyone is invited to participate. Both Sunday dress and pageant dress are acceptable. However, it should be emphasized that contestants will be judged on natural beauty rather than glamour and glitz.
The parents, relatives, or a business sponsor can pay the entry fee. Parents/Guardians are responsible for finding a business to sponsor their child if they wish to do so. Entries are due by (or have a postmark of) February 4th, 2011. Any Entries added after this will be charged a $10 late fee, I will not accept entries after February 4th, 2011.
Rehearsal will be held on February 18, 2011 at 6:00 PM, in the Coalgate Public Schools Auditorium. This is a time for you and your child to practice walking on stage, work on stage presence, poise, and practice answering the on-stage question (if applicable for your child) in the provided microphone. Rehearsal is mandatory. If you are unable to attend please let Carla Wade know as soon as possible so other arrangements can be made. All entry fees are non-refundable.
Mr./Miss. Heart Breaker is an optional category where the contestant that sells the most tickets will be awarded a 42” to 4’ tall trophy the night of the pageant. They must sell a minimum of 100 tickets to qualify. All tickets and money must be turned in by 3:00 PM on February 4th, 2011. This category can be added to a pageant entry for an additional $5.00, or a contestant may only compete in this category for a $10.00 entry fee.
One parent will be allowed to go with the contestant in the dressing room and backstage. All other spectators will be charged an admission fee: $5.00 for adults (14 years of age or older) and $3.00 for children (children under the age of 3 enter free).
