I attended Coalgate Public Schools from the time I was 5 years old until I graduated High School in 2011. I then went to college at Southeastern Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree, majoring in Elementary Education, in December 2014. I am very proud to be back at my alma mater!
I am currently teaching fifth grade Reading and Language Arts. I am also the K-4 and Kindergarten After-School teacher from 3:30-5:30.
I was hired on as a teacher in January 2015. I’ve taught a year of 6th grade and this will be my 2nd year to teach 5th grade. Before becoming a teacher, I started working as a teacher’s aide in the After School and Summer School Programs in 2008. During college, I also worked as a dispatcher at the SOSU Police Department for 3 years. That position helped improve my professionalism, social skills, and my sense of responsibility due to the severity of daily situations.
I am happily married to Hunter Redden. We have two Beagle dogs, Copper and Ruger. Hunter and I recently built our home in Farris, Oklahoma. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends, but we spend most of our free time enjoying the outdoors, hunting and fishing. =)
